What's going on in Budburra class at Cherbourg State School ...
Budburra class members enjoy learning through five main contexts inside and outside the classroom. These are: -
- Play
- Real-life situations
- Investigations
- Routines and transitions
- Focussed learning and teaching.
Learning experiences occur through child initiated, teacher initiated and collaboratively planned activities. Our prep area is arranged to cover the five early learning areas of:
- Social and personal learning
- Health and physical learning
- Language learning and communication
- Early mathematical understandings
- Active learning processes
Inside our classroom we have a home corner and a book corner as well as computers, puzzles, crafts, paints, pencils, play dough, blocks, and construction. Some of our favourite things to do are constructing things from the Mobilo and having a picnic!
Outside our classroom we like to play with the obstacle courses, swings, hoops, trucks, sandpits and skipping ropes. Some of our favourite things to do outside are playing horses, building sand castles and counting how many times we can skip!
