What's going on in GilGil class at Cherbourg State School ...
Level: Years 6 & 7
In October 2008, Gilgil class went
to Silver Lining to talk about Cherbourg
of the future. Ms Angela organised
the day. We saw film clips
about people making models of Cherbourg
community We thought about
what would be needed in the community
to make it a great place and safe
for its children of the future. Then
we made posters to show what we
had thought of.
In Term 3, 2008 we worked on the "Books, Books, Books" project and produced some deadly books about buildings in Cherbourg. Miss Robyn helped us with how to take the best photograph and Miss Madonna showed us how to insert them into a word document. We printed them out and read them to younger kids in the school.
.
This term we are working on 'Our Australian Families' posters. In this unit of work we discuss what it means to be Aboriginal, Australian History, Families and All About Me! Stay tuned for samples of our work!
